Competition news

Tom Ward Wins the Abbeydale Masters

Congratulations to Tom Ward on winning the Abbeydale Masters on Sunday. Tom held off a charging Jed Kenyon to clinch the Jacket by a single shot. Jed posted a final round 67 gross (nett 62) and had to wait and see if his 208 total would be good enough. With two groups left on the golf course it looked to be going Jed’s way but a solid score of nett 69 gave Tom the victory over Jed and the very steady John Longbottom.

Results

1st place - Tom Ward - 66 - 72 - 69 = 207.

2nd place - Jed Kenyon - 71 - 75 - 62 = 208.

3rd place - John Longbottom - 66 - 71 - 71 = 208

Invitation Day

1st place - John Richardson and Dave Mantle - 45 points.

2nd place - Richard Rigby and Tom Butler - 43 points.

3rd place - Tim Brins and Peter Greaves - 43 points.

4th place - James Procter and James Ledger - 42 points.
