40 Scores Competition

Third place - C. Riley, E. Charlesworth, J. Brown and G. Wainman - 99 points.

September and Duncan Barber Cup

Division One:

First place - Richard Oades (66 – 1 = 65).
Second place - Paul Dawson (79 – 13 = 66).
Third place - Matt Goodchild (75 – 9 = 66).
Fourth place - Ben Dickson (79 – 11 = 68).

Division Two:

First place - Eddie Gower (93 – 26 = 67).
Second place - Stewart Grainger (85 – 16 = 69).
Third place - Jeff Green (88 – 17 = 71).
Fourth place - Ian Smith (86 – 15 = 71).

The winner of the Duncan Barber Cup was Richard Oades with a superb score of 66 Gross (Nett 65) just one shot short of his own course record.

Winter Order of Merit

The Top Dog order of Merit will start up again in October, the player with the best 6 top dog scores (October - March) will be the OOM winner.

Once again we will have some great prizes to be won!

Tour news

All Roads Lead to Paris…

The finale of the Made in Denmark tournament was an all-English affair, with a four-way play-off between Lee Westwood, Jonathan ‘Jigger’ Thomson, Steven Brown and eventual winner Matt Wallace. The tournament was played at the home course of Ryder Cup Captain, Thomas Bjorn, and the event has become a firm favourite with both players and fans alike. Due to the European Tour tournament rescheduling that will take place next year, the Made in Denmark will move to the week of BMW PGA at Wentworth and hopes to attract even more big names.

The automatic picks for Europe’s Ryder Cup team were also decided in Denmark, but I’m sure you are all now talking about the Captain’s wildcard picks that took place on Wednesday. The American team still have one pick remaining with the finale of the FedExCup unfolding over the next few weeks and all eyes on East Lake for the next 10-million-dollar man!
