Top Dog – Winter O.O.M

The Top Dog is back this Saturday. After 10 rounds the standings are as follows:

5. Richard Exell 43 points

The prizes this year include a Scotty Cameron Putter, Motocaddy Waterproof Golf Bag and FootJoy Pro/SL Golf shoes.

Tour news

Back In The Winner's Circle

It was a 9th PGA Tour win for tour favourite Matt Kuchar, as he claimed victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Kuchar carded a final round of 66, finishing on -22, four shots clear of Andrew Putnam in second place. It wasn’t all plain sailing for Kuchar, with bogeys in three of his first five holes on Sunday, but a resurgent back-nine saw a comfortable win in the end.

It was Kuchar’s second win on tour this season, just 64 days after winning the Mayakoba Classic in November; a real change in fortunes, when you consider he had to wait four years between his seventh and eighth PGA Tour victories.

On the Ladies European Tour, England’s Charley Hull took a wire-to-wire triumph at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi, for her second win on tour. It was a real test of nerve at the finish, with Hull splashing out of a bunker on the 18th, before saving par with a great putt to give her the win by one stroke.

Wedge Fitting

This year we are expanding the fitting options available at Abbeydale and will offer custom fitting on Mizuno and Titleist Vokey wedges. The Titleist SM7 wedges have arrived this week with a huge number of loft and bounce combinations.

Keep Warm

With the temperatures now dropping, its really important to stay warm out on the golf course. We have a wide range of products including snoods, mitts, winter headwear, base layers and windstoppers to keep you comfortable whilst playing.

We also have some fantastic waterproof products including the impressive ProQuip EVO jackets, available for both ladies and gents.

Check Your Yardages

If you’re wanting to find out your yardages, club head speed and ball speed, then be sure to check out our FlightScope Mevo.

The Mevo is great for checking your distances and can be rented from us to use on the practice ground.

The perfect layers

There’s no such thing as bad weather for golf – just a poor choice of clothing. You might have got away with the old ‘raincheck’ excuse a few years ago, but golf clothing has come a long way since then.
